VENUE: The Meeting Centre, 1 Marchant Road, Hinckley, LE10 0LQ
Led by our qualified instructor, Liz Causon, (Leicester Tigers Foundation) our weekly exercise class provides MS-specific sessions delivered at varying levels of ability, whether you use a wheelchair, walking aids, or walk independently. We focus on maintaining and improving balance, reducing fatigue, and increasing your general well-being.
Most Thursdays (contact to check). 10.30am to Noon.
If you are affected by MS, the right exercise can make a difference in managing everyday activities. It can keep your body at its best by maximising mobility, posture, and balance. It can also reduce pain and fatigue, improve your confidence and your mood! Joining a regular group boosts your motivation to go and your accountability for turning up!
Please get in touch with us if you need transport or some extra encouragement to attend.
Our monthly coffee morning is a safe and welcoming space to meet new people and build friendships. It is also a great opportunity to share experiences with others living with MS or caring for someone who does.
Drop in anytime in the morning (10.30am to 12.30pm) - no need to book or tell us you are coming.
Please contact us if you need some extra encouragement to attend or have any questions.
"I was really nervous to attend the first time, but the group were extremely patient and coaxed me in very gently, and now it is the highlight of my month! Everyone was ultra-friendly, and I've made some great new friends. I also feel that I now have a network of people to talk to if I'm feeling low"
Stay for lunch after the Coffee, Cake & Chat! on the last Friday of the month, or you can just come for lunch (12.30pm ish). Pick up about 2pm.
Booking Essential *** (deadline is normally the Sunday before and are published on Facebook and in our quarterly magazine - The Nattermag)
Lunch is a buffet and there is always something for everyone (including veggies) but let us know if you have any specific dietary requirements. The cost is £10 per person - this includes "all you can eat" and entry into a Prize Draw for several prizes including a FREE Lunch Club Voucher.
NOTE: If you book and cannot attend - you will still be charged (unless a latecomer can take your place).
"I love staying for lunch. The food is always tasty and I enjoy the laughs and banter and getting to know other people"
Friends, family, and carers are all very welcome too.
This was our "monthly quiz" but we got fed up with writing quizzes so we now do a variety of crosswords or puzzles together! A great way to say hello and check up on each other but we also stretch our brains for an hour! We usually join 10 minutes early, have a natter, figure out the technology, and then start around 3pm.
Second Friday of the month at 3pm via zoom.

Engaging your mind can help reduce the impact of MS-related cognitive changes that may occur by improving mental speed, short-term memory, and concentration. Optimising cognitive health can boost all other areas of our wellbeing and also help to regulate our moods.
